On behalf of Global Wind Organisation (GWO) we are looking for a highly engaged and service-minded IT Administrator to take on the important role of ensuring that the GWO database remains operational. If you are skilled within and passionate about application maintenance as well as IT service and support, it’s you we are looking for.
Global Wind Organisation is a non-profit organisation founded by leading wind turbine manufacturers and operators with the goal of ensuring injury-free work environment in the wind turbine industry by setting common international standards for safety training.
To continue successfully offering standards and certifications, a solid IT foundation is needed and the main component for this within GWO is the application and database named WINDA that you will be responsible for.
How will you contribute
As IT Administrator your key role will be to maintain best in class availability of WINDA. A central part of your job will therefore be to troubleshoot and resolve any reported problems, develop change requests, coordinate with external developers, test and communicate updates. You will become the WINDA expert at GWO and be the person to ask almost everything about the application – and of course you will receive onboarding and training to be able to.
On top of the core tasks around WINDA, you will help your +20 GWO colleagues with different IT Support-related tasks such as installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners. You will be the nerve of IT in the organization, as both hardware and software sourcing, general technical support, setup of new users, and testing of new technologies also will be a part of your role.
You are also characterized by:
- Having experience, maybe from your studies or work, with databases and application maintenance and know how to develop change requests and administrate the process around system updates and changes.
- Excelling when solving IT problems and providing excellent technical support for the benefit of both external users and internal colleagues. You are driven by successful debugging and system improvements as well as delivering excellent support and service.
- Having technical flair and if you don’t know how to solve a problem you will not be afraid to try or actively search for the solution.
- Being able to speak and write English at a high professional level
It is a benefit, but not a must, if you have a relevant IT education and experience with broad IT support, C#, agile development methods, and cloud.
